Meanward TV Alerts

A Chrome extension that creates one alert per watchlist symbol from a template alert, within your TradingView plan.

Meanward TV Alerts is a Chrome extension for running the strategy on many symbols. You set up one alert by hand, and it copies that alert onto every symbol of a TradingView watchlist. It's included in Platform and Platform Expert.

It doesn't add alerts to your plan. Every copy is an ordinary TradingView alert and counts toward your plan's alert count; when you're at the limit of your plan, TradingView refuses the next one. The extension sends nothing anywhere: it clicks through the TradingView interface in your own browser, the way you would.

Install

  1. In the cabinet, open Help → Meanward TV Alerts and download the zip. Unzip it.
  2. Open chrome://extensions, switch on Developer mode (top right), press Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder.
  3. Open any TradingView chart. A bell button appears in the bottom-right corner; it opens the panel.

Chrome reminds you about developer-mode extensions from time to time. That's expected for an extension installed from a zip.

Set up a group

  1. Make a watchlist with the symbols you want, for example Revert 5m.
  2. Create the alert once, on any of those symbols, exactly as in Create one alert: condition, webhook, expiration.
  3. Name it [twh:revert5m|v1|Revert 5m]: a group id, a version, and the watchlist name exactly as TradingView shows it.
  4. In the panel: Status, then Sync. The preview lists every alert it's going to create or delete; Apply runs it.

Each copy is named [grp:revert5m|v1] BINANCE:BTCUSDT.P and keeps the template's settings. Sync takes about 4 seconds per symbol and switches the chart while it works, so leave the tab alone until it's done.

Change settings later

Alerts don't follow setting changes. Change the strategy inputs, create a new template, name it v2 and delete the old one, then Sync: it deletes the v1 copies and creates v2. Pause, resume and delete work on a whole group from the panel.

When it stops working

The extension works through TradingView's interface, so a TradingView redesign can break it. If Sync fails, the preview shows which alerts failed and why. Sync deletes before it creates, so check the alert list after a failed run. Download the current version from the cabinet, replace the folder, and press the reload icon on the extension card in chrome://extensions.
