ZONE signals
The simplest signal. The bar closes past the zone edge. A state, not an event.
ZONE marks a close past the edge of the selected zone: S-ZONE for overbought (above the upper edge), L-ZONE for oversold (below the lower one).
Every other signal is an event that happens once. ZONE is a state: it's true on every bar while price stays past the edge. By default the label goes only on the first bar of each run.
How it's calculated
S-ZONE holds while the close is at or above the upper edge of the selected zone, L-ZONE while it's at or below the lower edge. Zone edge offset (%) moves the edge further out. The label goes on the first bar of the state.
ZONE is a CONSENSUS component, off by default.
Settings
Group 🌡 ZONE signals.
| Input | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Show ZONE signals | off | Shows the S-ZONE / L-ZONE labels. |
| ZONE zone | Off | Own depth zone. Off means the general zone. |
| Zone edge offset (%) | 0.0 | Moves the zone edge further from the mean; the close has to go deeper. |
| Label on every zone bar | off | Off: a label on the first bar of the run only. On: a label on every bar while the state holds, and the anti-spam is bypassed. |
| Price filter | on | Early pass for a repeat signal after a big enough price move. See Anti-spam. |
| Price filter threshold (%) | 1.0 | The move needed for that early pass. |
| Min bars between signals | 5 | Minimum pause between ZONE signals, strictly more than N bars. |
Watch out for
Label on every zone bar eats the label budget. TradingView keeps at most 500 labels per script, shared by all signals. In this mode they run out after roughly 1,600 bars, and the oldest labels start to vanish, FADE and CONSENSUS included. Use it for a quick look, then switch it off.
