Getting started: indicator

Meanward Revert Signals on your chart in about 10 minutes, plus the one wait you can't skip.

The indicator is the eyes of the system: the channel, the zones, the trend filter and the signal labels. It doesn't place orders. If you want trades, a backtest and webhooks, that's the strategy, and it has its own checklist.

Ten minutes is the honest number, plus the wait for access in step 2.

1. Request access (2 min)

The indicator isn't sold yet: it goes on sale in the TradingView Marketplace once it's listed there. Until then:

  1. Message me on Telegram, @svfedorof.
  2. Send your TradingView username exactly as it's spelled in your profile (the name after @). Access goes to that name and nothing else, so a typo costs you a day.

2. Wait for access

I grant access by hand on TradingView. You get a TradingView notification and the script appears under Indicators → Invite-only scripts.

No notification yet? Write to me on Telegram or to [email protected] with your TradingView username.

3. Put it on the chart (3 min)

  1. Open your pair and timeframe. The auto settings know 1m, 3m, 5m, 15m, 1h, 4h and 1D; other timeframes get the generic values.
  2. Indicators → Invite-only scripts → Meanward Revert Signals.
  3. You should see the channel (a thin gold mean line and wide zone bands), the chart-timeframe Supertrend line, three trend labels at the right edge, and signal labels.

The labels that matter first are CONSENSUS LONG and CONSENSUS SHORT: a FADE signal confirmed by at least two other components within a short window. Everything else is a component. The full picture is in How it works.

4. Settings for week one (1 min)

Leave the defaults. They're the settings the strategy trades on my own account. Three inputs are worth knowing anyway:

  • General zone for signals (📍 General): Small zone by default. A deeper zone gives fewer signals, each one further from the mean.
  • Use trend filters (📊 Trend filters): on. A FADE needs a strong trend against it; turning this off removes that check.
  • Condition logic (🤝 CONSENSUS): Any two (AND). All required (AND) is stricter, Any one (OR) is noisier.

5. Alerts, if you want them (2 min)

Alerts on indicators need a paid TradingView plan: free Basic has none. Version 1.10 has six alert conditions: FADE Long, FADE Short, CONSENSUS Long, CONSENSUS Short, Small zone touch and Deep zone touch.

  1. Right-click the chart → Add alert.
  2. Condition: Meanward Revert Signals, then one of the six.
  3. Trigger: Once Per Bar Close. The signals are decided on the close of the bar; inside a forming bar a condition can appear and vanish again.
  4. One alert per condition you care about. They notify you; they don't trade. Alerts for a bot come from the strategy.

6. Read it for a week, then decide

Watch how CONSENSUS behaves on your pair for a week before you trade it by hand or move to the strategy. Count three things: how many fired, how many came back to the mean, and how far the worst one went against you before it did. That's your own backtest, and it costs nothing.

7. Day 7 check-in

  • Is the script still in your invite-only list?
  • Did the signals behave the way the guide describes? If not, post a screenshot in Meanward Chat with the pair and timeframe.
  • Ready for the strategy? Its checklist starts with the pair you've just watched.
