Anti-spam

The repeat filter every signal group shares. A bar pause, with an early pass for a large price move.

Every signal group (FADE, RSI, Divergences, MACD, ZONE) runs its raw events through the same repeat filter. Three inputs in each group control it: Price filter, Price filter threshold (%) and Min bars between signals.

The rule

A signal passes if strictly more than Min bars between signals bars have passed since the previous one, or if Price filter is on and the close has moved from the previous signal's close by at least Price filter threshold (%), in either direction.

The bar pause is the base rule. The price filter is the emergency exit: a sharp price move lets a new signal through early.

Details that matter:

  • Each group and each direction keeps its own counter. A FADE doesn't block an RSI signal, and an S-FADE doesn't block an L-FADE.
  • "Strictly more". With 5, the next signal can come on the 6th bar after the previous one at the earliest.
  • The first signal in history always passes.
  • CONSENSUS has no anti-spam of its own. It inherits the filtering of FADE and the components.

With Label on every zone bar on, ZONE skips the anti-spam entirely (see ZONE signals).

Don't confuse it with

The strategy has a different filter with a similar name: Use price distance filter in the group 📈 Price distance between orders. That one measures the distance between the strategy's own orders inside one trade, not between signals. See Strategy inputs.
