Risk presets

Three sets of values for the risk inputs of both bots, Conservative, Balanced and Aggressive. You type them in by hand.

Three ready sets of values for the 24 risk inputs of the strategy: order size, number of adds and their multipliers, stop loss, the TP and its update, distance between orders, minimum channel width. There's no switch for them in the strategy. You open the settings dialog and type the values in yourself, so every input shows what actually trades.

  • Balanced: the code defaults, the values that trade my own account.
  • Conservative: Balanced at half the order size.
  • Aggressive: a bigger first order, a third add, closer adds and a looser channel width filter.

A preset is a starting point, not advice. Pick the cascade your account can carry, then check the drawdown on your own pairs in the tester.

Values to set

Rows 1–11 go into both bots: once in the 📈 Long groups and once in the 📉 Short groups, the same value on each side. That's 22 inputs. Rows 12–13 are shared by both bots. 24 in total.

Values in bold are the ones that differ from Balanced. If you haven't changed these inputs before, Balanced is already set: those are the defaults.

What that means in money

Each add is the previous order times its multiplier, so the cascade grows fast. Full cascade of one trade on one symbol, and the margin it needs at 10x:

PresetOrders, USDTFull cascade, USDTMargin at 10x, USDT
Conservative250 + 1,000 + 3,0004,250425
Balanced500 + 2,000 + 6,0008,500850
Aggressive750 + 3,000 + 9,000 + 18,00030,7503,075

Multiply by the number of symbols you run. Several symbols can be in a full cascade at the same moment, usually when the whole market moves one way.

Why Conservative is a smaller size, not a gentler cascade

The obvious way to "reduce risk" in an averaging strategy is smaller multipliers or fewer adds. I tested that before choosing, and it didn't work: in mean reversion with averaging, the big add is both what pulls the average close enough to exit and what makes the drawdown. Smaller multipliers left positions open longer and deeper. A filter on the adds left positions without adds when they needed them. A stop either cut everything to nothing or never triggered.

The one lever that lowered drawdown everywhere without side effects was size at the same geometry. So Conservative trades the same trades as Balanced, at half the size: half the drawdown in USDT, half the result.

What a preset doesn't cover

  • signals, zones and the signal groups;
  • the add levels' signals, zones and timeframes (Enable dynamic averaging and the 1st: signal … 5th: signal rows);
  • every filter except rows 12–13: Supertrend (MTF), volatility, ROC, time gate, trading hours;
  • higher-timeframe averaging, the channel line exit, the opposite-signal exit, hedging, auto add size;
  • 4th, After 4th, Stop loss (%) and Martingale multiplier. With 2–3 adds and the dynamic martingale on, they don't take part anyway;
  • leverage and margin type: 10 and cross unless you change them.

Leave those as they are, or set them your way: a preset's values sit on top of whatever else you've configured.

Watch out for

  • Min width only works in Fixed % mode. The channel width filter defaults to Dynamic (auto), which ignores Min width (% of price). With the default mode, Aggressive's 0.5% has no effect; switch Filter mode to Fixed % if you want it.
  • Set both sides. Rows 1–11 live in separate Long and Short groups. Change only one side and the two bots trade different cascades.
  • New values mean a new alert. An alert keeps the settings it was created with. Delete it and create a new one; see TradingView alert.
